Just some background details. My full name is Kelvin Koh Tong Weng. I was born on the 17th of August 1989, making me 21 this year (2010). Currently, being a Singaporean and serving the army (mandatory 2 years), I reside in Sunny Singapore. I graduated with a Diploma and would be pursuing my degree next year after I finish my Army commitments to the country.
Why I am Blogging?
Why I am blogging. I started blogging years ago but it was mainly about my life. It started to get all too emotional and dry. I realised I ought to make it more personal, interesting and inspirational, thus I decided to change my focus of my blog to one about personal development, business and design. The decision to adopt a broader approach is because I realized that each of these 3 focal points play big, important roles in my life and I am sure they do in most of yours too. I will not profess that I am an expert in any of the above areas but I have enjoyed learning and applying what I’ve learnt and made work and would love to share this with the world, hopefully allowing many others to do the same too. This is a start of a new journey for me…
Why Kaizenkoh?
With these in mind, Kaizenkoh.com was born. I decided to use the word “Kaizen” or “改善“ in Japanese because it encompasses one of my favourite philosophies of life, to have “continuous and never ending improvement” as so aptly coined by Anthony Robbins. Besides that, it sorta resonates with my name too. The aim of this blog is to motivate, challenge and inspire myself and others to take great action to be who you want to be and live life to the fullest. This blog will journal the whole learning journey along the way to the many types of success I would want to achieve and my small to big steps taken to achieve them. I plan to provide insight and practical advice and feedback on parts about living life and my focus areas and hope that these will in turn inspire others to take due action in their own journey. I will also be realistic with my approach, reflecting on mistakes and disappointments and crediting success of mine and others. The lovely power of the internet and the freedom of speech allows me to do that, that’s great! Hopefully, those reading will be able to find their own passions, adopt the “continuous improvement” mindset and enjoy their adventure called life, to live it well and to their best.
Remember to Carpe Diem (Seize the day) and Kaizen your way in life!
